COST ESTIMATE

What are the costs of certification?

The costs of certification consist of the system usage fee and the certifier's fee.
The system usage fee covers property data verification, the geospatial survey, the storage of the survey data and the operating fee of the system. The system usage fee is calculated according to the size of the plot, as shown in the table below.

What does the geospatial survey examine?

The geospatial survey examines the various surfaces found on the plot. During the survey, the number and canopy volume of the trees on the plot, the size and green volume of shrub, perennial and ground-cover areas, the extent of lawns, open soil surfaces, water surfaces, paved and heat-island surfaces, and the biological activity value are determined. The geospatial survey also examines surfaces in contact with the natural ground and those located on top of structures.

What does the certifier examine?

The certifier examines compliance with the legal requirements applicable to the green spaces of the plot, as well as the data obtained from the geospatial survey.

The certifier examines the green spaces of the plot from both qualitative and quantitative aspects, including biodiversity, the presence of invasive species, climate adaptivity, habitat creation, and social and maintenance aspects.

The certifier also examines the location indicators (for example, nature conservation and heritage protection aspects) and the value of the green spaces on the plot.
